Who is Chuck Hughes?

Carrying a trading position at ground level is tough enough. At 30,000 feet, it can be downright nerve-wracking.

No one knows that better than Chuck Hughes. When he started trading in 1984, Hughes was a full-time commercial airline pilot. Monitoring his positions from the cockpit was not an option. "It was frustrating sometimes," he says. "I'd have to wait until the evenings to get my price quotes."
